“I Thought It Was The Cassette!”, exclaimed Wade

This video is for Wade. When I found it in YouTube, I can’t help but post it in here. Why? Because the first time we jammed to this song, he thought it was the cassette playing and he fell off his behind when he realized it was me fooling around with the mic. In the band, we even had a violinist (Farah) to play the strings part. We were THAT young and obsessed. Aaah, good times.

“Didn’t Have The Heart” – Debbie Gibson

Masihkah kau ingat?

Didn’t Have The Heart

VERSE 1:
I found somebody new
Though you mustn’t believe
That means I’m over you
I know that in time
We’ll figure it out
You’ll read my mind
And though I’ll wait for that day
Without making a sound
I don’t want to be
The one who’s letting you down
I just want you to know
The reason behind the rhyme

CHORUS:
It’s not that
I didn’t have the time
Didn’t have the love
I didn’t have the strength
Not to fall apart
It’s not that I don’t care
It’s just I wouldn’t dare
Cause I just don’t have the heart

VERSE 2:
Love is not black and white
You’d believe that it’s true
If you saw me tonight
I struggle with what is real
But the logical side
Doesn’t stop what I feel
And though you’re holding your breath
To be given a sign
Your heart cannot be
Broken in pieces like mine
I just want you to know
The reason behind the rhyme

CHORUS:
It’s not that
I didn’t have the time
Didn’t have the love
I just didn’t have the strength
Not to fall apart
It’s not that I don’t care
It’s just I wouldn’t dare
Cause I just don’t have the heart

BRIDGE:
Loving you was more than I could stand
I was scared my heart was in your hand
But I know now
I figured it out
Beyond a shadow of a doubt
I must let go

CHORUS:
Yes I had the time
Yes I had the love
I just didn’t have the strength
Not to fall apart
It’s not that I don’t care
It’s just I wouldn’t dare
Cause I just don’t have the heart

I don’t have the heart
